‘Saving Hope’ at the CTV Upfront 2012
by Svetla
On May 31, CTV presented their 2012 upfronts in Toronto. Daniel, together with his co-stars Erica Durance and Michael Shanks, as well as executive producers Ilana Frank and Morwyn Brebner were there as representatives of Saving Hope, which premiers in less than a week (June 7).
While on the red carpet, Daniel shared:
“The show’s quite magical in its look and vision. It pendulously swings between that gritty reality and this mystical place. We’ve made some beautiful TV here. It’s enchanting as well as compelling.”
At the press conference held later, he added:
“The heroic quality about the show actually is that we… it really is about sort of rising up against that adversity too, you know. It’s not a show that feels sorry for itself. It’s kinda noble in that way. And more importantly it’s funny.”
